Our Story
Tommy & Melissa's Kitchen
Tomel's is a mom-and-pop comfort food counter tucked inside the Elite Mart on FM 1103, straddling the Cibolo–Schertz line. The name is a mash-up of owners Tommy & Melissa, whose combined family history in the restaurant business runs deep — and it shows in every plate that comes out of the small kitchen. With only a handful of tables, the focus stays where it belongs: on the food.
Everything is made fresh in-house, from the seasoned fries to the owner's own salsa, following family recipes rather than shortcuts. Regulars order the brisket fries, shredded chicken mini tacos, and country fried steak sandwich again and again, while the daily featured burger keeps things interesting for anyone stopping by more than once a week.
It's a true neighborhood spot: order at the counter, grab a drink from the Elite Mart, and settle in for hot, made-to-order comfort food from a family that's genuinely happy you're there.
